2009 Sauvignon Blanc (Napa Valley)
The Damian Rae
2009 Sauvignon Blanc is loaded with phenomenal pear, fig, and Chinese
gooseberry flavors. With fruit sourced entirely from the renowned Galleron Road
Vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley, this wine is crisp, refreshing, and
delicious. It's exuberant with cheese tortellini, fusilli carbonara, seared ahi
tuna, fried goat cheese, and coconut curry chicken – or simply with fine cheese
and crackers.

Vineyard -Galleron Road (Rutherford). As in Bordeaux, Sauvignon Blanc tends to
do extremely well where Cabernet grows. And Rutherford produces some mighty
fine Cabernet. Crisp citrus, grapefruit and lemon-lime combined with minerality
and a hint of herbalness make this Sauvignon Blanc a fantastic wine.
Harvest and aging -The grapes were picked and processed on
September 9, 2009; the wine was aged in stainless steel and bottled on March
19, 2010. |
