HELENA, CA – (March 15, 2010) – Damian Rae Winery today announced that its single vineyard 2007 Pinot Noir from La Encantada Vineyard (St. Rita Hills) was honored with a 90-point score and lauded as a “Smart Buy” by Pinot Report, a leading industry newsletter for people passionate about Pinot Noir. “We’re thrilled that Pinot Report has recognized this premium wine, which has its origins in one of the world’s premier Pinot Noir vineyards,” said John Tarabini, president. Pinot Report praised the Damian Rae 2007 Pinot Noir’s “deep, ripe dark cherry and toasty aromas; good structure and balance, and long finish.”

The Damian Rae 2007 Pinot Noir is a new offering by the winery. “While we’ve become known for making award-winning Cabernet Sauvignons and Syrahs, our clientele asked us to add a first-rate, hand-crafted Pinot to our portfolio,” said Tarabini. “We’re overjoyed at the response to this first vintage,” he added.
