September 1, 2009

by John Tarabini

Damian Rae Winery today announced the availability of its hand-crafted Damian Rae 2007 Pinot Noir (La Encantada Vineyard, Sta. Rita Hills) at Esin Restaurant, one of San Francisco’s best dining establishments. “We are pleased to have our wine at such a highly-acclaimed restaurant, said John Tarabini, Damian Rae president.

Perfectly balanced, the Damian Rae 2007 Pinot Noir is a complex, yet approachable wine with origins in one of the world’s finest Pinot Noir vineyards. With an outstanding nose, this wine displays ripe strawberry and red cherry aromas, with good integration of oak. The finish is long and smooth. The wine is a perfect complement to Esin’s fine food selection.

Esin has been a neighborhood jewel since opening in 1998. The name Esin is not only the name of one of the owners, but also means “inspiration”. The food is the passion of chef owners Curtis and Esin deCarion. They strive to create cuisine that is fresh, seasonal, and prepared with great care. The fare is American with bits of Mediterranean influences. The wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast magazines.

Esin is located at 750 Camino Ramon, Danville, CA 94526, telephone (925) 314-0974
